Georgia (24) and Antonia (26) learned how to sail in Chester, Nova Scotia. After a few years of the summer junior sailing program, the girls started sailing year round as part of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron Race Team and the Nova Scotia Sailing Team.
While taking a break from competitive sailing, Antonia completed her Bachelor of Science and graduated in 2019, a year into their campaign for Paris. Meanwhile, Georgia worked toward her degree in Civil Engineering, and was able to study from Europe while training, largely due to the Pandemic. She graduated in 2021, and the pair has been sailing full-time ever since.
After growing up sailing in different classes, the two decided to team up for an Olympic campaign toward Paris 2024. After six years in the boat together, they've earned themselves an Olympic ticket in style by automatically-qualifying at the 2024 World Championships in March of this year.
This team is coming into their first Games hungry to make history for Canada. Let's go!
