Jonathan de Vries

Class: IQ Foil Men

Jonathan is an enthusiastic, intelligent, determined, windsurfing athlete (Starting Team Rider for NorthWindsurfing, longboard/foil course racing) with 20+ years of sailing experience. His academic background includes research in the field of Cognitive Science. He is a lifelong athlete who previously competed at a high level in several sports, notably: volleyball (university varsity), rowing (junior varsity) and bouldering (regional). Today he lives in Vancouver where on average he spends 4+hours on the water daily all year long.

Jonathan will be competing in various windsurfing regattas (IQ Foil/Open Longboard) across North America and Europe, with goal of representing Canada at the Pan-American Games and on the World Cup.
