We are very proud of our Canadian Women's America's Cup Team and the Youth America's Cup Team.
There are two five member teams. There is a women’s team from across Canada competing in the first ever Puig Women’s America’s Cup and the Youth Under 23 Team America’s Cup. They were all selected after 12 months of rigorous training by Team Canada’s Coach Chris Nicholson and Isabella Bertold, Principal and Team Leader. They have been training in Barcelona. These young athletes are highly experienced sailors but the foiling and other technology of the America's Cup boats requires training at a whole new level. Sailing these boats is as close to flying as a boat can get. A great deal of the training happens in simulators
They all need financial support for their training expenses which include:
Food and Accommodation, Travel, Coaching, Fitness Training, Charter Fees and the sailing/flight Simulator.
With the right training our Canadian athletes will be able to compete at the highest level of our sport.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
