Owen and Brin's Sailing Journey
Owen and Brin first teamed up at the Hubbards Sailing Club in Nova Scotia, and since then, they’ve been an unstoppable duo on the water. Both began their sailing careers on Optimists, progressing quickly through the ranks and finding their passion for high-performance racing. Over the years, they’ve built a strong bond, and their teamwork has only grown stronger with each regatta.
Together, they’ve taken on some of the toughest competitions in Eastern Canada, placing 1st place victory in C420 class at the 2024 Bay Wind Sail East Regatta, in the top 10 of 80 at the Canadian Youth Championships, and 3rd at the Provincial Championships in 29er class. Their impressive results are a testament to their dedication, hard work, and shared love for the sport.
Now, the pair is gearing up for their biggest sailing challenges yet, with upcoming competitions including the Miami ODP Clinic, Midwinters Regatta, and US Youth Championship. With their sights set on representing Nova Scotia at the Canada Games in Newfoundland and qualifying for the Youth World Championships in Portugal. Owen and Brin are training harder than ever to make their mark on the Canadian sailing scene.
